Artistic Overview:
This operetta explores the magical, whimsical world of Arcadia. Animals and humans are equals and one with nature. This is heavily contrasted with the environment and the people who enjoy horse racing and betting, and more so with the people who live in London. As we move away from the whimsy of Arcadia, the sound effects vanish with the ever disappearing mark of nature, eventually replaced completely.
The vocal timbre tuning for this production was especially challenging given the thick and rich orchestration in both the pit orchestra and the group vocals.

The Horse Race:
For the horse race sequence I used the surround system in the house to transport the origin of samples of horse galloping on grass. The whole sequence was controlled by 5 called cues that took the horses from stage right, around to the back of the house, and back to the stage from the stage left side.
